Ahead Idiomas Chosen to carry Oxford's Torch of Excellence

To talk about Oxford University is to talk about the second oldest university in activity in the world and the oldest and most experienced among the English speaking countries.

Among the personalities who studied at Oxford University are: the former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, the former prime minister of Pakistan Benazir Bhutto, the economist Adam Smith, the scientist Stephen Hawking, Albert Einstein, and many more Prime Ministers and political leaders representing some 30 other countries. Oxford has also produced 47 Nobel prizes.

Part of Oxford's success relies on its capacity to spread the knowledge that originates in its classrooms. In Brazil, Oxford University works through Oxford University Press, the largest editorial powerhouse in the world.

In its attempt to bring their experience and excellence to Brazil, Oxford University Press launched Achieve Languages, a network of language schools that is rapidly spreading all over the country.

Given its solid pedagogical and teaching model, Ahead Idiomas received an invitation to become part of Oxford's plan to provide high quality language courses to the growing number of Brazilians who need to speak a foreign language as part of their search for a brighter future.

Ahead Idiomas will maintain its compromise to offer personalized language courses which will be now supported by the best research and development in education. The support of these institutions enables us to develop a higher quality job and to provide all the conditions for students to get the most out of their learning experience.

Beginning now, Achieve Languages will offer students a unique learning kit, not simply a student book. The new method provides 90 hours of class time in our office, plus 10 more hours on the new online learning platform. The result will be a more in-depth contact with the language being studied as well as a more interactive learning experience.

Additionally, students will enjoy the same successful communicative approach, which seeks to make the student able to communicate with clarity and fluency in the target language. Communicative competence is more important than the unique construction of grammatical knowledge and memorization of set phrases.
